Squishy Face Polish Winter Collection

Hello ladies! Today I will be sharing swatches of Squishy Face Polish, an awesome indie line created by my good friend Alice Nguyen. Alice was so kind to send me her Winter Collection plus an extra polish to swatch and review. This collection will be available for purchase today, December 8th at  5 PM PST. I've had the pleasure to meet Alice in person last weekend. She is such a down to earth girl and fun to hang out with. I found out about her indie line on Instagram a couple months ago. Her IG name is @squishypolished. Be sure to follow her page for updates on her latest collections and their availability!

First up is Blizzard of Oz, a velvety, deep blue shimmer polish that applied like a dream, seriously! This polish looked so good on its own, without a top coat. For my swatch, I applied two coats, no top coat. Opacity was good at one coat but I did two to achieve more depth of color. I imagine this would look HOT with a matte top coat too. I'll have to wear it again and do that next time.

Amazing without a top coat huh?!

Next up is Spiced Sangria, a slight duochrome polish that is kinda hard to describe IMO, or i'm just horrible at it. I guess i'll say it's a mauve with flashes of olive green with tiny holo glitters throughout. Very unique color. I applied two coats, no top coat again because it looked good without it. Great formula with easy application.

Do you see the slight duochrome?

Another view of Spiced Sangria. Very hard to capture the beauty of this. I did not do it justice.

Next up is Vivacious Violet, a dark grey/bluish scattered holo polish. Another unique shade and a definite must have for any holo polish lover. It is sooo amazing in the sun too! I applied two coats without a top coat again. It was beautiful on its own. Fantastic formula! I didn't really have to do any clean up here.

Look how strong the holo is indoors?

And BAM! Outdoor shot of Vivacious Violet. I'm in love!!!

Next up is Winter Wisteria, a sheer thermal polish transitioning from a light blue/teal when warm to a darker teal when cold. It also has micro shimmer throughout. I applied three generous coats plus top coat, no undies. You can also layer this over white or another color as you please. I wonder what this would look like over black. I'll have to do it next time. Fantastic formula again with minimal clean up.

Love this so much! It's beautiful on its own!

Next up is Frostbite, a gunmetal grey, almost black polish filled with silver micro glitters. It was so hard to capture the beauty of this. I did not do it justice and it's a million times better in person. I applied two coats plus top coat. Great formula with easy application.

Next up and last from the Winter Collection is Ice Princess, a sheer thermal polish transitioning  from a pearl tinted pale blue when warm to a light purple when cold. This is also filled with beautiful micro shimmer. I applied four thin coats plus top coat, no undies. Ice Princess can also be layered over white or any other color you please. Great formula again with easy application.

Last up of my swatches is a bonus polish Alice sent me called Plum-Roll Please. It's a clear based glitter topper with an assortment of glitter in different shapes and sizes. This would look good over both a light or dark undie. I've paired it here with Ice Princess in it's warm state. I applied one coat over Ice Princess, plus top coat. A little goes a long way with this glitter bomb. I didn't need to do any fishing whatsoever. WIN!!

I wish I had a macro lens to capture it's glittery goodness!

Overall, every single one of these polishes were amazing and well thought out by Alice. I love how they could still be worn throughout the year and not just limited to the winter season. Each one applied wonderfully. If I had to choose my top three, I would have to go with Vivacious Violet (I love holo), Winter Wisteria, and Blizzard of Oz, just because it is such a fantastic and deep blue.

If you would like to check out more swatches and information on this winter collection, be sure to stop by and follow Alice on IG, username @squishynpolished. There is a direct link to her store site on IG or you can also click here.

Fancy Gloss Nail Polish

Hi ladies! It's been some time since I've been on here. I hope everyone is enjoying the cold weather and holiday season. Today I have a couple Fancy Gloss polishes to share. If you skim back to one of my previous posts, you'll find my first swatches of Fancy Gloss thermals. Jackie, the creator of Fancy Gloss makes fantastic thermals! The transition is always easy to achieve and her color choices are lovely. Release date for all of the polishes mentioned in this post will be available for purchase today, December 6th at 8 PM EST, so don't miss out!

First up is Frozen Rose, a vibrant blue polish with scattered holo. I applied two coats plus a top coat. I really love this shade of blue. I don't think I have another blue like it in my collection. If you're a blue lover, this is a definite must have! Formula applied like a dream with minimal cleanup.

Next up is Cherry Blossom, a beautiful pink scattered holo polish that is slightly textured. It also has a foil finish. The name suits this polish perfectly. I was able to get away with applying one coat of polish plus two coats of top coat. Formula was great with easy application.

Next up is Purple Pansy, a vibrant purple scattered holo polish. I love how bright this purple is!!!! For all you purple lovers out there, you need this! I applied two coats of polish plus top coat. Fantastic formula again with minimal cleanup.

Next is Cloudy Skies, a gorgeous blue/purple (blurple) scattered holo polish. I applied two coats plus top coat. Fantastic formula again with great application. Cloudy Skies is way more beautiful in person! My photos didn't do it justice!

First up out of three thermals is Sunshine, a thermal polish transitioning from a dark yellow when cold to a light yellow when warm. It's also filled with gold shimmer. The name suits this polish perfectly! Great, easy formula with minimal cleanup. I applied three thin coats plus top coat, no undies.

Next up is Unconditional Love, a beautiful jelly based thermal transitioning from pink when warm to red when cold. It's also filled with micro gold flakies! Just absolutely stunning and one of my favorite thermals. This polish would be perfect for Valentine's Day, which I found out later Jackie had originally made this for. She was so excited about it and couldn't wait for V-DAY to release it. I applied three thin coats plus top coat, no undies. Formula was impeccable, especially for a jelly polish. I barely did any cleanup!

Last up is Barbie Girl, a super cute and girly crelly based thermal polish that transitions from a very pale pink, almost white when warm to a bubbly pink when cold. It has the perfect sparkle to it as well. I am seriously in looooveee with this thermal!!! I don't have a thermal like it and it is so flattering! Perfect name for this polish yet again! Formula was great with easy application just like the rest of the fancy gloss polishes. I applied four thin coats plus top coat, no undies. This can be layered over white if you prefer to do less coats.

Winter Collection and Thermals by Bliss Polish

Hi ladies!!! Today, I will be sharing swatches of the Winter Collection by none other than Bliss Polish along with two thermals. I have become good friends with Yvette, the creator of Bliss Polish. She is so down to earth and so giving. She really has awesome creations too! And I am not saying this just because I swatch for her and because she is a good friend of mine. I'm saying it because she really make simple but elegant, timeless, great quality polishes!

There are a total of 5 polishes in this Winter Collection. I will be sharing swatches of four polishes that I personally swatched. The Winter Collection along with the two thermals will be released tomorrow, 11/25 at 10:00 am PST. I will discuss more info on this restock/release later on in this blog post. One of the intended polishes called "SNOW GLO-B" didn't work out and was replaced with "Glisten" which will be discussed in more detail later on.

So, let's talk about the gorgeous polishes, shall we?!

First up is NOEL, a medium blue jelly based polish filled with both gold flakies and holo glitters. Can we just say divine?! Blue, jelly, and flakies!!! It is everything I love in a polish and more. Formula was great and easy to work with, and dry time was fast. Like all jellies, it is best to apply thin coats and wait for the polish to dry in between coats. For this swatch, I applied three thin coats. The finish was very shiny on its own without a top coat. I will be showing photos of both with and without a top coat, and you can see the difference is not really apparent. I also applied a matte top coat because it's always fun to matte all the jellies as my nail buddy Michelle would say!

Next up is MERRY CHEER, a vibrant red jelly based polish with red holo and matte glitters. Another gorgeous one! If you're a red polish lover (which I definitely am), this is a must have! What I love about this polish is that even though it is part of a Winter Collection, it can still be worn year round. It's not overly festive! Great formula and easy application! I applied two generous coats. Merry Cheer will be shown below with both a glossy top coat and mattified.

Next up is EVER PINE, a gorgeous emerald green shimmer polish that dries a smooth matte finish. It has two looks in one. If you decide to add a top coat to Ever Pine, it transforms into something even more stunning. I applied two coats with and without a top coat. I cannot stress enough how much I LOVE this polish! It is the most amazing green I have in my collection. Formula was fantastic and application was great too. With polishes that dry matte, its important to apply coats carefully and wait for it to dry in between coats! If you don't do this, the finish may appear streaky.

Last up is TWINKLING, a clear based glitter topper filled with silver holo, matte white, and iridescent glitters. What a perfect trio! This glitter topper can be paired with really any base color you wish. Another reason why I had mentioned how "timeless" these polishes are! For my swatches, I've paired "Twinkling" with a light and dark base color. Since it has iridescent glitters, the look really changes with the base color. Really fun to work with. For the light colored base, I used another Bliss Polish called "Cuffed" from the Behind Closed Doors collection. It is a grey polish that also dries a smooth matte finish. For the dark colored base, I used a Wet n Wild polish called Black Crème and yet another Bliss Polish called "Lick" from the Behind Closed Doors collection. "Lick" is a dark, denimy blue polish that also dries a matte finish.

As I mentioned above, one of the intended polishes called "SNOW GLO-B" unfortunately didn't work out. BUT NO NEED TO WORRY! It was replaced with a stunning "light gray silvery holo" which will be available with the rest of the winter collection. I personally do not have swatches of this polish, so please check out Bliss Polish on Instagram or on their store site.

But for now, here is a little sneak peak of "GLISTENING" in all it's beauty!

Overall, I loved each and every single one of the polishes from this collection, and every Bliss Polish for that matter! It was hard to choose a favorite because I really enjoyed all of them. If I did have to choose, it would have to be Ever Pine. I could wear that polish every day if I had to!

Now on to the thermal polishes....

OK, let's start with mentioning how fun thermal polishes really are. I think with all the new nail polish fads going on right now, thermals are really my favorite! If you don't own any, it is about time you do!

For this blog post, I will be sharing swatches of two thermal polishes by Bliss Polish. One of the thermals has been re-formulated slightly, while the other is a new release. Both are absolutely fantastic!!! Formula on both were so easy to work with. The transition between color changes was very easy to achieve, which I always look for in thermal polishes. So shall we get to it?!

First up is BLUSHING BLISS, a jelly based thermal that transitions from a blurple when cold to a dusty rose when warm. It is also filled with beautiful gold shimmer that is more prominent IMO in the re-formulated version. The blurple color also appears darker in this version than in the original. I applied three thin coats plus a top coat.

Last up is POOL BOY, a magical jelly based thermal transitioning from a dark blue when cold to a light blue when warm. It is also filled with sparkling holo dust. Great formula again and easy application. I applied three thin coats with a top coat. The transition was very easy to achieve and not subtle. Yvette did a wonderful job with these thermals!

What a lovely bunch of polishes huh?! Yvette really did a fantastic job creating these polishes! If I had to pick a top three for all of these polishes, I would have to choose Ever Pine, Noel, and Blushing Bliss. If you're new or old to indie polish, I would definitely recommend Bliss Polish as your first or next indie to try. All of Yvette's creations are wonderfully crafted, timeless, and priced affordably. Did I mention she will be having an awesome sale tomorrow too?! Yvette is hosting two cyber Monday sales, one tomorrow 11/25 and another on 12/2.
